2022 Chardonnay

The 2022 is the second estate Chardonnay from Averill Creek. The fruit comes off our young vines and foreshadows the potential of this variety on Vancouver Island. The common denominators for all wines from Averill Creek are freshness, vibrancy and salinity with an understated power and length. The 2022 Chardonnay is a prime example of this. The palate is tight and firm, but with textural acidity and just enough creaminess to soften the perception of the acid. It has a generous, persistent delivery that is full of poise and precision.
