Wild Fermentations: A Long Table Dinner
Saturday, June 29th - 6pm onwards
Join us at Averill Creek for an open-air Long Table experience where we celebrate the wonders of fermentation alongside the release of Brent Rowland’s wines: Joue by Averill Creek Vineyard.
New winemaker Brent Rowland has partnered with pioneer chef Nicholas Waters of Toque Catering to curate a four-course menu exploring the relationship between fermented foods and wild fermented wines.
We will begin with canapés and a sampling of reserve wines at 6pm, and move into a long-table dinner at 7pm on our terrace overlooking the Cowichan Valley.

2019 Tofino Food & Wine Festival
Tofino Food and Wine Festival is a weekend of food and wine events on the west coast. Its signature event, Grazing in the Gardens, is a showcase of local culinary talent and British Columbia wines, craft ciders and beers, set in the beautiful Tofino Botanical Gardens. Grazing is a chance to mingle with the locals, meet Vancouver Island chefs, island purveyors, regional winemakers and more, complemented with edible treats and libations. Lush rainforest setting surroundings provides for a grassroots ambiance with pleasant surprises throughout the winding garden paths. It is truly a memorable event, and a wonderful way to experience the west coast.

Along with a sparkling reception and Pinot Noir salon-tasting, the event offers informative breakout sessions, special key note speakers, live music, local artists, and enjoy an exquisite cocktail-style dinner with culinary creations by Western Canada's top Chefs.
